Welcome!

I did art A Level and was told by 4 art teachers I should have got an "A" but I only got a "C" so I declined to take up my place on an Art Foundation course to follow my then dream to do Graphic Design or Interior Design.

So, I chose my alternative life course in retail management at Harrods. I picked up my paint brushes after 22 years, during a nervous breakdown, whilst working at Waitrose Head Office. A wonderful friend said I should do an art course. I said "I wasn't good enough". She said "Yes you are! Here is the application form". So I filled it in, and applied for the Access to Art and Design,1 year course at Bracknell, Berkshire. I was accepted on the first, very nervous interview. It was amazing - I worked so hard, whilst continuing to run a family with one very supportive husband and two adorable children and a part time job at John Lewis, to keep my "hand in". I then went on to do a 2 year course in "Fine Art with Community Art" at Reading.

I am currently exhibiting twice a month at Pudding Lane on the 2nd Saturday a month and Hare Hatch on the 4th Saturday a month, whilst still working for John Lewis for 3 days a week an running the family, with 2 adorable dogs. I have taught art classes, in my studio, in my garden, and also done Art Sanctuary Days, all of which were very successful, for a season.

I have tried may and various outlets over the years, but I'm now choosing the web, for maximum benefit!

My style of work since art college has developed into very bold, bright, abstract, acrylic with mixed media. There is an explosive, flower theme developing ... Hope you like it? I am constantly trying to "Maximise my potential whilst accepting my limits"

I am also a Christian, and very involved in our local church. All my work is primarily inspired by God.

Thank you for taking the time to look.
